More expensive than I realised

I changed my mind within 24 hours after taking out a policy but when I tried to cancel I felt horribly pressured not to do so. I had to be very firm with the person to explain that I did not want to defer / delay and re-decide later. I found the interaction very upsetting. The generally polite person I was speaking with, was only following the rhetoric and verbal patter requirements of the job, so this was no reflection on the person engaging with me. Instead I am appalled at the "parasitic" type attitude behind the company's underlying approach to any sales of their insurance product. Whilst there are excellent options within the product offering which appealed to me when I first was contacted, I now regret being too hasty to sign up. But likewise the option to change my mind shouldn't be made that hard either.

Cost a little more than anticipated but nothing to be alarmed about. I expect nothing more than anticipated, an excellent cover with great add ons - eg premiums drop over time, the knowledge that in the event of death the payout to my nominated will be the end amount I'm covered for or the amount I've paid in, whichever is greater. I'm really happy with that. Thanks heaps. Overall, perfection.
